A brief description of the 
site of practice teaching







       CANIOGAN HIGH SCHOOL was located in Caniogan, Calumpit, Bulacan.it was near at the Caniogan Elementeary School. The school was establish on 1988, the school has a small student population at present, it has a 32 faculty member, one of them  is school head name by Mrs. Josephine M. Cabral and eight  are non-teaching personnel. The population of students in Caniogan High School are over 800 students. 
Some of the class rooms are still in that traditional way of teaching using chalk board and book  as well.
The morning class starts at 6:00 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and the afternoon class starts at 12:15 pm to 6:15 pm. The said high school offers from Grade 7 to Grade 11. The Grade 7  has five sections name with different flower, the Grade 8 has five section name by fruits, the Grade 9  has four section name by minerals, the Grade 10  has three section name by the National Hero and lastly the Grade 11 has one section came from a name of the tree. Each section or class has an approximately 30 to 40 students and not exceeding 60.

Caniogan High School was not my Alma Mater but the people in the school did not let me feel that I am not belonging to them. CHS is just a small school but give me a big experience in life.  I’m so thankful that it was my cooperating school, together  with my co-student teachers, we had stayed there for almost 4 months and from those months I had learned not only about teaching  but also about socializing to different kind of people.

Practice teaching gave me an unforgettable experience and it made me realized that it was really hard to become a TEACHER you need to go with the flow of the students if you don’t you will be nowhere. I think it needs a lot of dedication and passion in teaching. If you don’t have any of that then dont teach and find yourself in some other way around.

A lesson plan is a very important in every discussion it’s like weapon of a teacher to fight the hardship of teaching. A teacher must prepare his/her lesson plan before teaching the lesson so he/she knows what to do. It is fulfilling for me when my students achieve the objectives in my discussion.
I’m happy when my students raising their hands in recitation I knew that sometime I’m so masungit to them but to I know I imparted them knowledge they can use in studying.


Every time I entering the classrooms I have my own weapon my own lesson plans. I have my plan on how to achieve those plans by the students and the lesson plan is one of the best solutions.

Everyday is an opportunity to learn and improve yourself to be a better person. In my everyday lesson my CT was sometimes observing me. She say some points to improve on my teaching. I remember she suggest to me to speak more lively and adjust the volume. She said that I need to have a lively  discussion so I execute some games every lesson to avoid the boredom of the students.  

I’m happy to know that I’m improving. I will  keep it in my mind all of the suggestions because I  know those were for my own good that’s why I’m thankful to her who shared the knowledge in teaching to me.

Ang mga natural na kapaligiran po ng ilang bansa sa Asya ay lubos na naubos at pinakinabangan ng mga mananakop.

Ang paksa na ating tatalakayin ay ang salitang mabubuo ninyo na nakadikit sa pisara.

Ngayon, nabuo nyo na ang salitang Nasyonalismo. Ano ang ideya ninyo kapag naririnig o nababasa ang salitang Nasyonalismo.


Tama! Anu pa.

Tama! Iba pang kasagutan.


Magaling! Tama lahat ng ideya ninyo.
Ang nasyonalismo ay tumutukoy sa pagkakaisang damdamin ng mga mamamayan upang tapusin ang pamamahala na sumakop sa kanila.

Ano kaya ang mga bagay na pumukaw sa damdaming nasyonalismo ng mga asyano?

Tama! Iba pa.

Magaling. Iba pang kasagutan.


Mahusay! Ang lahat ng inyong binanggit ang mga bagay kung bakit nagkaroon ng nasyonalismo sa Asya at naglalayon ito na maging malaya sa kamay ng mga dayuhan.

Pakibasa ang nakasulat sa projector kung ano ang kahulugan ng nasyonalismo ayon sa aklat ng Kabihasnang Asyano.




Salamat! Sa paanong paraan ninyo maipapakita ang pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa Inang-bayan?




Magaling! Maipapakita ang pagmamahal sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng paggalang.

Nalaman na natin ang kahulugan, ngayon naman alamin natin ang ibat-ibang manipestasyon ng nasyonalismo.

Ang mga maag-aaral ay hahayaang sagutin ang mga inihandang litrato. At sasabihin nila kung anong manipestasyon iyon.

Ang unang manipestasyon ay.

Sa paano mo maipapakita ang nasyonalismo sa tuwing may pagkakaisa?




Magaling! Ano naman ang pangalawang manipestasyon?


Ikaw sa paano mo maipapakita ang pagtangkilik mo sa sariling bayan?


Mahusay! Ano naman ang pangatlo.

Tama! Paano kaya iyun maipapakita?


Magaling! At ano naman ang huling manipestasyon?


Tama! Sa paano kayang paraan maipapakita iyon?





Mahusay! ang kahandaang mamatay para sa bayan ay ang pinakamahalagang manipestasyon ng nasyonalismo.

Nalaman na natin ang kahulugan at ang ibat-ibang manipestasyon ng nasyonalismo. Dumako naman tayo sa  “Pag-usbong ng Nasyonalismo sa Timog Asya”. At ito ay partikular sa bansang India.

Sa palagay ninyo sa paanong paraan nagising ang diwa ng nasyonalismo sa India?

Tama! Iba pang dahilan.

Magaling! Isa ang bansang India na ginamit ng mga Ingles ang likas na yaman sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang bansa. At ito yung tinawag na Rebolusyong Industriyal.

At ano kaya ang huling dahilan ng pag-usbong ng nasyonalismo sa India?



Mahusay! At ano naman kayang mga patakaran iyon. Magbigay nga kayo ng isa at ipaliwanag.



Tama! Iba pang patakaran.



Tama! May ideya ba kayo kung ano ang naganap noong April 13, 1919?



Magaling! Ito ay tinatawag na Jallianwala Bagh Massacre o mas kilala sa Amritsar Massacre dahil sa Amritsar Park ito naganap. Isang pampublikong pagtitipon. Dahil hindi alam ng iba na bawal ang ganuong pagtitipon. Ipinag-utos ng Heneral na Ingles na magpaputok ng baril na tumagal halos sampung minute at duon namatay ang daang tao.


Tama at dahil dun nagkaroon ng hiwalay na pagkilos at samahan dahil sa hiwalay na pananampalataya.
Ano kaya ang hiwalay na paniniwala iyun?

Magaling! Ang mga Hindu ay nagtatag ng samahan na tinatawag na All Indian National Congress. 
At ano ang pinakalayunin nila?



Tama! At ang mga Muslim naman ay nagtatag ng All Indian Muslim League. Ano naman ang layunin nila?

Ano nga ulit ang samahan naitatag sa bansang India?


At ano naman ang isa?

Mahusay!
Ngayon kilalanin natin ang isang nayonalista sa India.
Kilala ninyo ba sya?

Tama! Ang kanyang totoong pangalan ay Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi pero mas kilala sya sa Mahatma Gandhi.
Alam nyo ba ang ibig sabihin ng Mahatma?

Mahusay! o dakilang kaluluwa.

Class magbigay nga kayo ng ilang hakbang na ginawa ni Gandhi upang labanan ang mga Ingles.


Mahusay! Si Gandhi ay nakilala sa matahimik at mapayapang paraan ng pakikipaglaban na tinatawag na “ahimsa” o non-violence.
Sapalagay ninyo bakit kaya niya sinimulan yung ganuong paglaban?




Tama!
Ano pa ang kanyang ginawang paraan upang labanan ang mga dayuhang Ingles?


Tama! At ano ang mga halimbawa ng batas na kanyang hindi sinunod?



Tama! At ano kaya ang ginawa niya upang hindi na siya bumili ng damit sa mga Ingles?





Magaling! Isang manipestasyon ang kanilang ipinakita. At ano ito class?

Tama! At dahil duon bumaba ang industriya ng pananamit ng mga Ingles.

Dahil sa ginawang mga protesta at paglaban naranasan niyang makulong.

Nabaril at namatay si Gandhi na hindi nagtagumpay na pag-isahin ang Muslim at Hindu sa iisang bansa.

Kalian kaya nakamtam ng India ang tunay na kalayaan?


Mahusay! at ito ay pinamunuan ni Jawaharlal Nehru.

Sa palagay ninyo class ano ang gagawin natin sa ibon na ito?

Magaling! Isa ngang mag-aaral ang pumunta sa harap upang siya ang magpakawala o magpalaya sa ibon.

Natapos tayo sa paglaya ng India sa kamay ng mga Ingles kasabay nuon ang paglaya ng ibon.

Ma’am upang maipakita ko po ang pagmamahal sa Inang-bayan ay tatayo po ako kapag kakantahin ang Pambansang awit ng Pilipinas.




Ipagmamalaki ko po ang kulturang meron ako.

Maipapakita po ito sa pagtutulungan at pagbubuklod ng mamamayan sa iisang kultura at saloobin.


Ma’am pagtangkilik po sa sariling bayan.



Bibili po ako at ipagmamalaki ang sariling produkto natin.

Kapag po sanay tayong tumimbang ng tama at mali.


Ma’am ang magtanggol at mamatay para sa bayan.

Maipapakita po iyun ng mga sundalo at mga kapulisan natin. Masasabi ko din po na kasama ang mga naging bayani dahil sila ay handing magbuwis ng buhay para sa bayan.

Ma’am ang pagpapatupad po ng mga patakaran na hindi angkop sa kanilang kultura.

         First I thought I can’t do it but my fighting spirit say that you can!. So here they are, my hand has it own mind to start doing the best lesson plan that I can do. 
Everyone has its own perspective of the word BEST. For me this lesson plan is the best because this is the one that I used on my final demonstration. My lesson plan  go through a lot of process. I think it was the best but my CT think it was just good so I revised it four times to make it better. My CT said do this, do that and all I can is OKAY.
 I remember two days before my  final demo, my CT suggest that  if it is okay to change the topic and my mind  silently said WOW AS IN SERIOUSLY? but I stand my own because I am the one who will be discussing it not her. But all in all I’m so proud to myself that I can do it on my own and a little help of my CT. Nonetheless I’m  thankful to her for guided and supporting me all the way.

Seeing your students learning on your discussion is the most expensive pay for the teacher she/he can receive. It’s very hard to teach, you need to elaborate more to be understand what you are discussing it to them. Sometimes they are not listening of what you are saying, some of them are not interested and somebody don’t care of what you are talking to but in the end you need or you must caught their attention even though it was hard and your voice are not conspiring you go on deal with, do whatever you need to do as a teacher. Just go with a flow and dance on their rhythm of their noises.
   
       I asked my students to write their feedback to me as their teacher. While I’m reading those feedback and messages all I can do is to smile it all had the same content joke! I smile because I feel happiness. It is so nice that they really see your effort on standing in front for them teaching the lesson and some of them admit their mistakes because they do the whole hour was to talk and talk of nonsense things.
     Students’ feedback could be either in the form of words or being shown emotionally. I’m happy because they’re treated me as a friend talking to them, sharing some new things they don’t know, giving them advises in terms of heart and laughing with them with their corny jokes.I know that it is not only me who will treasure the bond that we built but as well as they will also keep every good moment that we had until they are not forget it.  It was a simple but very touching message that I will cherish it.

OCTOBER 2

September 5 is our deployment day in Caniogan High School. The whole September is about EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. They have different program, the School Intramurals, NCAE for grade 7, seminars for Grade 7-11.

This is the first time I can say that I teach in classroom. I attend two classes the 7-Camia and Rose. It was good to teach because the students are nice but chatty.  After I teach my throat are aching badly. I know what to do next bring water every period.

This is it! Being a student teacher is not easy thing. I need to surpass it.



Have passion in teaching is a must. Have patience long patience really. You need to catch their attention.
My CT suggests that if I can lower or adjust my voice.

OCTOBER 3

CHS doesn’t have class because Grade 7 had the National Achievement Test.
On 10:00 am, all ST’s have a meeting in the principal office. Ma’am Cabral discuss the policy of the school, requirements of the practice teaching such us the DTR, evaluation sheet and a daily journal. Lastly Ma’am discusses the incoming teacher’s day celebration.

OCTOBER 4

I go to 7-Rose to discuss a new lesson but sad to say I didn’t go to the next lesson because  I start to lecture and it takes almost 20 minutes and after that I post on the board the quiz. And it takes again almost 25 minutes to answer. On the afternoon, I ask Ma’am Renn if it’s okay to go early because my fellow ST asks if I want to accompany her to go to Bayan, Malolos to buy gifts for the teacher’s day and Ma’am Renn said it was okay.

A bit disappointed because the students did not review their lesson. They had the book but they don’t really open it. In every time I teach them I need to remember them to open their books.

OCTOBER 5

I’m not late! I go to 7-Rose to discuss the “Imperyo sa Kanlurang Asya”. It was the next topic in Asian History. It was nice some students raising their hands to answer what I’m asking.
On the afternoon, the SG officer asks for help. And I’m happy tom helps them. We were busy to arrange and prepare the stage for the teacher’s day. I’m happy to help because it for the teacher of the Caniogan High School.

OCTOBER 6
HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY!





Stressful but HAPPY. At 8:00 am the program start.
All ST’s assigned Ma’am Cabral to facilitate the Parlor games for the teachers. And it was fantastic. The entire teacher is very happy you can see in their faces that they’re enjoying the moment and the last part was all teachers including the principal dance the dance craze baby shark.

Knowing the responsibilities assigned to you is very important.

Being a teacher is really hard so sometimes you need to have time for laughing, rest and enjoy the moments.

OCTOBER 10

Grade 12 has a NAT examination but its regular class to all.
Okay I’m so happy because I discuss all nine empires in just one hour. 7-Camia is eager to learn, they all participating in my discussion.
On this day I start to not have any cue card on my own I can better than yesterday I teach.

OCTOBER 11

I go to school early to avoid rushing to do. It’s easy now to discuss the different Empire because I’ve already taught that on the other section. It was easy said and done.

Before 7-Rose took a quiz I give them 15minutes more to review. After then I post the test on the board. It composes 20 items.

I think it’s easy to answer when you’re review your lesson and listen while discussing but if you were not give an ear  your will be a one of the passive learner in this days.

OCTOBER 13

Grade 7-Camia done to 9 Empire and the last one is Persia but after discussing that I refresh their minds by games. It’s like reviewing what they learn. After that I discuss the Persian Empire, who is their famous rulers and contribution to the world. Before they go I check their notebook to see if they are writing or takedown notes about the lesson and the assignment they need to pass.

OCTOBER 18
FIRST DAY OF PERIODICAL TEST


I go to school early because the teacher in AP Department goes to AP Olympics in Pulilan. So I was assigned to take care of the rest of the class. The first section is the 7-Rose and there were noisy. On the afternoon Erwin had an emergency so I was all take in charge to facilitate the exam. At the end of the day it is so very tiring day for me.

SECOND DAY OF PERIODICAL TEST;

I’m not late. Three sections I took care and facilitate. Every section are noisy even though they answering the test.

On the afternoon I and Jhoanna watch the opening of the encampment lead by Sir Marlon.

It was nice and good to see that the other students of CHS participate the camping and they were happy doing different games and tasks.

OCTOBER 20

Stressful, I check all the test paper of the seven sections I handle whether it is AP or Filipino subjects. I choose to check it on my own because I can do it without any help of my students.


Do things on your own. If you can then just do it.

NOVEMBER 6

I go to school early to arrange the class for my final demonstration. Ma’am Renn suggest having dry run all my handle section.

I was too busy for my demo teaching so all day again I practice or dry run to my four handles section. My critic teacher Ma’am Renn says that it was okay to have the mastery of the lesson.

This is the last time I practice my topic. On the afternoon I execute the final dry run on grade 8. I’m nervous because Ma’an Rhoda was there together with Ma’am Renn. I have a successful dry run and I can say that I have the mastery of my lesson. I’m ready to face my FINAL DEMOTECHING.

I  feel nervous on my final dry run but I said to myself that if I’m going nervous the whole hour I’m going to lose this thing so I stand straight and it runs good.




NOVEMBER 9

DEMONSTRATION TEACHING!


This it! I’m a bit late. Our Supervisor said that calm ourselves breath in breath out, don’t be nervous to have a good final demo teaching. My fellow ST Ma’am Jhoanna are the one who first to have demo teaching. She’s a bit overtime. I’m the next goodness! I am ready. I’ve waited this thing to happen for almost a year after my micro teaching so it goes my FINAL DEMONSTRATION TEACHING is on my hand now. I need to pass  it to prove to myself that I can.

I start my new lesson to 7-Camia and it’s about Colonialism and Imperialism. It runs smoothly I know the lesson because I’ve read much information about that topic.

There has no class the whole day. Every student is busy to practice their piece that will perform for the English month.


Through unity and practice, things will easily be done.

Happy English Month.
I and my fellow ST’s watch the program. First to the program is Spelling Bee. And next is the Declamation. Every grade year has the representative to declaim the piece. The last is tongue twister. I’m glad that every student are participating the program.


It’s funny because while the students in the stage are going to write the spelling I myself spell it in my mind and I was correct sometimes I was wrong.

I go yet early in school. I am full pack because I’m ready to discuss my new topic but sadly there was no class because Sir Erwin borrows the time of mine. It actually late news for me but it was okay no worries.

I go not early in school just on time. I meet 7-Camia to and give to them one-fourth colored paper. I ask them that if it’s okay to give not long message for me, about my teaching and guiding to them. After that I talked to them and request to have class picture.



I’m happy that all of them participate and they write positive messages.

Me and my Critic teacher Ma’am Renn go to 7-Rose to look and see the improvement they have in practicing their piece. There has all we need is more gracefulness and its perfect to watched. After practice I ask them to write message for me about my teaching to them and be a good student teacher for them.




There were all going to miss me and they give their thank you to my patience and understanding to them.

DECEMBER 14

I fell sleepy this day so I’m a bit late. No classes all in all because all my handle section was practicing their Christmas carol.

Last day.

The last day! I did not discuss because I’m enjoying it, get together with my students


Finally I’m totally done. It was stressful every day. And that’s being a teacher.
As the teacher teaches students appropriate behavior, what the expected rules and boundaries are all about, it's important to remember the goals of discipline and respect.
